RUTLEDGE  PARADE  2006

AND WE'RE OFF!

Wow, is this exciting! After years of enduring heartbreak and pain while producing losing entries to enter in the "Family Float" Division, I've decided to turn the whole mess over to the younger generation.  We choose to decorate our bikes INSTEAD of making a float this year, yielding the Parade Surprise of the Decade! Hey, it's great being up here at the front! Usually we're bringing up the rear, trying to cajole another poorly wheeled boat anchor of a family float entry over the roughly paved streets of Delaware County's smallest municipality.  Ah, sweet freedom!

Just because we don't enter in this category doesn't mean the "Family Float" Division doesn't exist!

Hmmmmm.....it seems to me that WE did a baseball themed float one year.....and we LOST!

Hmmmmm.....it seems to me that WE put some historical figures into a canoe one year.....and we LOST again!........

Okay, so we never did anything THIS crazy! But we like it! Our friends the Wallingford Williamsons put together a great float with a

decidedly Hawaiian theme. Alas, the cards are probably stacked against them (being from OUT OF TOWN, and all....)
